When does Trail Ridge Road open?
Typically open late May, around Memorial Day to mid-October (often the third week), or with the first major snowstorm. Plowing usually begins in April; the opening date depends entirely on snowpack and can swing several weeks.
The high central section between Many Parks Curve and the Colorado River Trailhead is closed by snow each winter. The lower ends stay open: from the east up to Many Parks Curve, and from the west up to the Colorado River Trailhead.
