What we collect on the website and in the iOS app, why, and how to opt out. Last updated September 2026.

Park Status Today ("we") publishes live open/closed status for U.S. national and state parks, at parkstatus.today and in the Park Status Today iOS app. This page describes what we collect across both.

What we collect

How we use it

Strictly to run the alerts feature: matching a status change against what you subscribed to, and sending you that one email or notification. We don't sell data, and we don't share it with advertisers or data brokers. The only outside services involved are the ones that operate the alert pipeline itself:

None of these get more than what's needed to do that one job — for example, Resend receives an email address and a message; it doesn't get your subscription history.

Your choices

Children

Park Status Today isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
