When does the full Going-to-the-Sun Road over Logan Pass open?
Typically open late June to early July to the third Monday of October (earlier if heavy snow arrives). Plowing usually begins in April; the opening date depends entirely on snowpack and can swing several weeks.
Only the alpine section over Logan Pass is seasonal. The lower ends stay open year-round, weather permitting: Apgar to Avalanche Creek on the west side, and St. Mary to Rising Sun on the east.
